MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

CAUSEplay for Hope is an all-volunteer group of costumers, cosplayers, and prop makers. We make public appearances supporting local charities, community outreach programs, and fundraisers while spreading hope and smiles.

• Do you have a desire to promote hope and kindness within your community?

• Do you enjoy cosplay? Can you stay in character while in public?

• Do you own or can obtain a professional quality costume? (Not a party store Halloween costume)

• Are you good with kids?

• Are you interested in volunteering your sewing, fabrication, or wig styling skills to help others in your community?

If you answered "Yes" to these questions, you may be the right fit for our volunteer team! There are different ways you can volunteer:

• Costumed Characters: Our costumed volunteers are the face of our organization. Whether costumes are handmade or bought, their goal is to inspire hope and bring smiles to our community at events. Being a costumed character is very rewarding - and seeing smiles beam from children's faces is why we do what we do. All costumes go through an approval process before being worn to an event.

• General Volunteer: Don't have or want to be in costume? We can still use your help! General Volunteers attend events as handlers, event leads, and/or "behind-the-scenes" support. Lend your photography skills, craft/maker skills, or other amazing expertise.

• Youth Volunteer: If you are the ages between 14-17 we are starting up our Youth Program! You and your parent or chaperone can join in the fun of going to events in character or lending your skills to others. Learn alongside your fellow adult volunteers and build up your skills as a character actor or crafter. This program is in the works so please contact us if you are interested so we can keep you updated when this program launches!

All volunteers go through a mandatory background screening and training to prepare for all event types. You must be able to provide your own costumes at this time - and all costumes go through an approval process.
